How To Start A Blog

Creating a blog couldn’t be easier and yet more complicated in 2020.
There are so many different things to think about, and yet so many different platforms you can use to streamline the process.
Understandably you’ll already have an idea of what you want to write about, I, unfortunately, can’t help you with that, but what I can do is show you how you can set up a killer blog that will drive readers to your website.
We’ll take you through what you’ll need to get started, our five steps to setting your blog up, the best blogging platforms to use, how to get your blog discovered, and the do’s and don’ts of blogging.
But first, we need to establish what type of blog you want to set up.

What type of blog?

Firstly you’ll want to have a goal in mind. What are you aiming to achieve through your blog?
Do you want to pull in more users to your sales pages by writing about your brand, to increase its publicity?
Do you want to build a blog that promotes brands and products from other companies?
Or do you just want to set up a blog documenting your travels around the world?
In order to pick the right software for you, you’ll want to have a grasp before you start of how big this blog is going to be, whether you’re going to monetize it, and what type of blog it’s going to become.
For example, if you’re planning on building an affiliate blogging programme, where you promote other brand’s products and call readers to action to but the products, you’ll be writing a lot of content and will benefit from having a more comprehensive blogging system with lots of plugins to promote sales.
But if you’re looking to just set up a personal, or a personal brand blog talking about yourself and your brand, you may not perhaps need as many comprehensive features as you would if you were building an affiliate blog.
You may also want to build an online portfolio of your work, which could require an entirely different piece of blogging kit, as opposed to the traditional blog that hosts articles and journals.

What you’ll need to get started.

There are 3 key things you’ll need to get up and running.

  1. A blogging platform.
After you’ve identified the type of blog you want to set up, plus whether you’re going to make money from it, you’ll then need to pick a blogging platform tailored to your needs. Many people chose to operate on WordPress as it is one of the most comprehensive blogging systems going, but they forget platforms like Wix and Squarespace that are great for both helping you save and make money and are great options for those who are less tech-savvy and are new to the blogging game. Plus if you’re blogging for business, you might want to think about using LinkedIn for your business blog.
We’ll go into more detail on what blogging platforms are best for your needs shortly, but make sure to keep in mind your objectives and technical experience when choosing the right platform for you.
  1. A hosting platform.
Every website needs a web host to store their website’s information on the internet. A web host is an online service provider that will store your website’s information on one of its online servers. This will put your blog out there to the world. The best web hosts will perform a variety of functions for you, for example, Wix is an all-in-one package that will host your website for you, allow you to register a domain name, and has easy to use website design tools to help you start your blog.
Web hosting can be expensive though so make sure you pick the best value for money host that can cater to the amount of traffic you have running through your website. Check out our post on the 11 best hosting providers. [Insert blog link here]
  1. A domain name.
I’m sure by now you already know what sort of blog you want to set up, whether that’s a travel, blog, a blog accompanying your online store, or perhaps an affiliate marketing product review blog. You’ll have a niche and an idea and now all you need is a name. Every website online has what’s called a domain name. It’s included in the website address at the top of your search bar, for example, our domain name is www.digitalsupermarket.com.
You’ll need to register a domain name after you purchase a hosting plan, to enable customers to find your site quickly and easily. One good tip is to find a hosting platform like Bluehost or GoDaddy that will provide you with a free domain name when you register for one of their web hosting plans as domain registration can be fairly pricey. Pick a great domain name that is easy for customers to read and type into Google so they can find it easier online.
TOP TIP: To increase your blog’s search engine ranking, and to help more people find you on Google, try to pick a domain name that has either a .com or .co.uk ending. These domains often rank a lot higher in Google searches than .org’s, .net’s, and .info’s, and for that reason can be slightly more expensive, yet can help boost your site’s reach and credibility.

The Best Blogging Platforms For You.

There are a wealth of platforms out there catering to all your blogging or online portfolio needs. We have listed some of the main ones below shedding some light on what needs they service and why they might be a great option for you.

WordPress - The best software to give you full customisation.

WordPress is perhaps one of the most renowned blogging platforms in the world, running approximately 35% of the internet. It’s favoured highly by professional bloggers because it gives you total freedom to do whatever you want with your blog. WordPress can help you build your blog using one if its search engine optimised themes, you can customise using its drag and drop website builder tool to create a stunning blog.
What’s more, is you’ll be able to use its professional blogging service to post your content online and take advantage of the hundreds of third party app plugins, you can integrate into your blog, to improve automation, add new features, and drive traffic to your site. The only downside of WordPress is that it can be quite technical and can take some time getting used to, but once you’ve got the hang of things, you’ll have great control over everything on your webpage.
Pros:
Cons:

Wix - Best for monetizing your site.

Wix is probably the most streamlined and easiest blog providers. It’s so simple and easy to use, it’s therefore great for anyone just starting out in the blogging world. You can customise one of its stunning templates with Wix’s drag and drop editor, and then upload blog posts to your site by slotting in pictures, gifs, social media buttons, sidebars, and other widgets that will help your blog stand out.
One of the coolest features about Wix is its marketplace integration, where you can install a whole variety of third-party applications to your blog to provide your users with greater features and usability. Wix is the perfect all-in-one blogging solution to help you easily build a platform to amplify your business to the world, helping you to make more money, but it can also save you a lot of money as it’s cost-efficient plans roll up, web hosting, blog posting, and domain registration all into one product!
Check out our Wix review and our comparison of Wix and Squarespace for a deep dive into Wix’s main blogging features. [Insert link here]
Pros:
Cons:

Squarespace - Best for creating visually stunning blogs.

Squarespace is very similar to Wix, in that it is an all-in-one web building and blogging platform that can help you build a blog you can monetize efficiently. It sets itself aside though through its better design and customisation features, making it one of the best platforms on the marketing if you’re looking to design a visually aesthetic blog. I’d recommend using this platform if you are a business operating in some sort of design, arts, or culinary industry.
Although it offers minimal template options, Squarespace’s templates are works of art and offer you great customization when building your blog. Plus Squarespace offers a great blogging tool that lets you schedule posts and customize your blog to suit more mobile audiences.
Pros:
Cons:

LinkedIn - Best for blogging businesses.

Aside from setting up a blog on your own site, corporate entities can use LinkedIn to enhance and amplify their presence online. LinkedIn has more than 575 million users, most of whom are professionals and members of corporate conglomerates, and you can use this social platform to target some of the most influential people in the world.
If you’re blogging about business this is the perfect platform to use a pre-existing community of people to enhance your social standing. You’ll then be able to build connections and followers on your profile who can easily share your blog on their platform through a couple of simple clicks.
Pros:
Cons:

Instagram - Best for the Artists.

Instagram is one of the biggest blogging sites in the world and without realising it, we are all technically bloggers in some way with our Instagram accounts, right? Ultimately for professional use, it is great for building a portfolio that has some form of visual or graphic eye-catching media around it. Instagram lets you post videos, photos, boomerangs, even write a blog in the photo’s caption if you wanted to!
Best of all, Instagram is free, and you can use its business software to link up your online store, to drag users away from your profile, using its product tagging features, and land them in your online checkouts. Our top tip for using Instagram is to post regularly and keep on the theme of your blog. Don’t go off-piste as you’re followers will catch on quickly and unfollow you. And with 1 billion people using the platform each day, it is a great way to gain people’s attention and build your brand’s presence online.

The Do’s And Don’ts Of Blogging

Here are a couple of top tips to bear in mind when building your blog to help you create an awesome, lead driven platform.

The Don’ts

Don’t use complicated language too soon.

With that in mind, do include language that your target audience will understand. But remember they are still here to learn, so don’t drop people in at the deep end right away by using complex jargon off the bat. Define terms and spell it out in layman’s terms for people at the outset, and as the post goes on, then introduce more complex writing. Introducing technical jargon at the start of your posts is an instant turn off for most readers.

Don’t waffle - Keep it succinct.

People want to get to the punchline now. 43% of people admit to skimming through blogs to get to the information they need, meaning to get your blogging site converting leads, you need to engage the reader early on and offer information succinctly throughout your post.
Plus don’t make your blog too long. Depending on what you’re writing, a lot of people will see large volumes of text and will switch off immediately. There is no set limit for what a good and bad amount of text is, that’s something you’ll have to figure out per your industry, but from my experience, the shorter, the better.

Don’t make headlines too long.

Also ensure that your headline is not more than 60 characters long. If it gets too long it won’t rank well in search engines and people just won’t want to read it. Check out this headline analysis tool which will analyse the effectiveness of your proposed headlines.

Don’t plagiarise or use credited images.

Copying other people’s work is lazy and can land you in a lot of hot water in extreme cases if you breach a copyright regulation. But it’s also just unfair on the person who has worked hard or been creative to write that work. The same goes for images, people need to make a living from the content and photos they’re taking so don’t steal that off them.

The Do’s

Do write killer headlines.

People are like goldfish. You only have about 3 seconds to get their attention. That’s why it is important to write catchy, funny, and enticing headlines to draw your reader in. One good way to do it is to use the “How To” and “10 Best” strategies. These sorts of titles telling people ‘How to set up a blog’ or ‘the ten best web hosting platforms’ are search engine optimised, lead winning titles that rank highly in Google searches. Try them out and see!

Do post regularly.

The key to creating a great blog that builds leads is posting regularly. Although it is not the best idea to post regularly. Ideally, you want to post 3-4 times a week to get the best influx of traffic to your site. You’ll also want to check out when’s best to post for your target audience, for example, if you’re in the FOREX market, you’ll want to post your blogs perhaps at 8 AM, before the markets open when city workers are on their staring at their phones on their morning commuter trains to the city.

Do share on social media.

Share your content far and wide on your social platforms. Everyone is on social media these days and its outreach is simply phenomenal. That’s why you should always share your posts to your social channels to get greater traffic on your website, and include share buttons all-around your blog to invite your readers to share your articles too!

Do use SEO keywords to drive more traffic.

In a nutshell, SEO keywords are the phrases people put into search engines when they are looking for information on a certain subject. They are how you get found on your website. Depending on what you are writing about, there is always a set of keywords relating to that topic that you can implement, to help you show up higher in people’s google searches. For example, people might regularly search in google, ‘what is the best compost for growing sunflowers?’ When you come to writing about growing sunflowers in your blog, you might want to use these words or incorporate this question into your blog somewhere, to help you rank higher on Google.

Do use call’s to action to take your readers to the next step.

If you don’t challenge your reader at the end of your blog to follow you on Instagram, or check out your sales pages, you’ll never get the leads or sales you are looking for. With that in mind, build compelling calls to action at the end of each of your posts, to pull readers into taking the next step. Check out our post on landing pages to see a couple of cool ways on how to implement calls to action on your site [insert link here].

Do identify a target audience.

People will often tell you to write as though you were in the shoes of the person you’re looking to bring to your website, but it’s true! Identify what type of people you’re writing to, for instance, if you’re writing a business blog about FOREX trading, you’ll write with potential traders in mind who have one eye on the stock market and the other on your blog. Or if you’re a wedding florist, you’ll set your portfolio up to target those people looking to get married in the next year.

Leads, Sales, Results.

Blogging is one of the most influential marketing strategies in the world and the best bloggers can reap some awesome rewards for producing some truly awesome content.
It is fairly straightforward to get started and we advise if you’re a small business, or someone with minimal blogging experience, to try out Wix or Squarespace first before you jump into using more technical platforms like WordPress. Once you’re up and running remember our top tips on what to do and what to avoid when writing your blog. Plus don’t forget to think about optimising and adding useful applications to your site to help you build and grow your content. Dollar Weakens, Euro Gains Ahead of ECB Meeting

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 64%. (I'm a bot)
Investing.com - The dollar slipped in early European trade Thursday, with the euro gaining ahead of greenback ahead of a policy meeting of the European Central Bank later in the session.
The euro has pushed higher, helped by Bloomberg News reporting that ECB officials are growing more confident in the bloc's economic outlook.
With this in mind, traders will be following this ECB meeting closely.
While changes in interest rate policy are unlikely, Lane's remarks suggest officials are growing uncomfortable with the euro's almost 6% appreciation against the dollar from its June low.
The ECB is under pressure again after Eurozone consumer prices turned negative in August for the first time since 2016, and the U.S. Federal Reserve changed its monetary policy strategy in such a way as to weaken the dollar further.
"Despite a challenging economic outlook, we think the ECB will keep its monetary policy stance unchanged at the September meeting," said analysts at Barclays, in a research note.

The Best (free) Multi time-frame Utility/Tool for MT4 to date

The Best (free) Multi time-frame Utility/Tool for MT4 to date
Disclaimer: I am not the creator nor am i promoting this tool for any personal gain whatsoever. This is a 100% free tool that can be downloaded from the web. I am not posting here to bring attention to myself or any other website regardless of context. I'm merely sharing this utility with the intention of helping new traders and veteran traders alike. I read the subreddit rules and it's prohibited to share links to blogs, youtube, and social media; nor can we post promotional marketing activity (promotions to generate sales). Since this post doesn't directly fall into those categories this post should hopefully be okay .
Hello fellow traders,
I'd like to make a quick post to share with you guys one of my absolute favorite MT4 tools in regards to multi time-frame analysis. I cant tell you how much this tool has helped me, especially when i was a new trader years ago trying to analyze various currency pairs. So i know this will help all of you as well.
I'm sure many of you guys have asked yourself or wondered which currency pairs are the best to trade at any particular time. Well this mt4 dashboard should help steer you in the right direction when analyzing the market and add an extra level of confirmation and market sentiment to your strategy. What is does is measure price distance from moving averages and mimics the functionality of a currency strength meter on steroids. (I personally use it to find the the strongest and weakest currencies and trade those). This dashboard is fully customization in regards to time frame, MA method, price and length.
To be safe i don't want to leave a link adding reason for mods to remove this post. Its called MaDash and can be found with a quick browser search (keywords "MaDash forex"). Remember, this is free and has always been free so if anyone is trying to charge for this then your're not at the right place. Anyway, i hope you all find this tool as beneficial to your trading repertoire as i have.
Happy Trading!

HSBC sees double-digit wealth asset growth in Asia by 2023

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 29%. (I'm a bot)
HONG KONG - HSBC Holdings PLC expects to achieve double-digit asset growth in its newly combined wealth business in Asia Pacific in the next three years, as it looks to grab a bigger share of the growing rich population, the unit's regional head told Reuters.
The Asia-focused lender in February announced the merger of its global private banking and retail wealth businesses to create a new wealth and personal banking unit, part of a radical strategy overhaul at Europe's largest lender by assets.
Aiming to become the top wealth manager in Asia Pacific in the medium-to-long-term, HSBC plans to sharpen its focus on clients with investable assets of over $1 million, said Greg Hingston, regional head of wealth and personal banking business.
The bank's global retail wealth assets in the first quarter grew 6% from a year-ago to $480 billion, while private banking client assets fell 2% to $329 billion.
Even as the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted normal trade and banking services, Hingston said HSBC had seen increased usage of digital technologies by its wealth management clients.
In Hong Kong, the bank's biggest market, the average monthly forex transaction value through digital channels by its wealth management clients grew 65% in the first quarter and monthly equity trading turnover rose 63%.Reporting by Sumeet Chatterjee; Editing by Lincoln Feast.

Dollar's dominance to slowly melt away over coming year: Reuters poll

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 70%. (I'm a bot)
BENGALURU - The dollar's dominance will slowly melt away over the coming year on weakening global demand and a sombre U.S. economic outlook, according to a Reuters poll of currency forecasters whose views depend on there being no second coronavirus shock.
While there was a dire prognosis from the top U.S. medicalexpert on the coronavirus' spread, the June 25-July 1poll of over 70 analysts showed weak dollar projections as Fed Chair Jerome Powell on Monday reiterated the economic outlook for the world's largest economy was uncertain.
Currency speculators, who had built up trades against the dollar to the highest in two years during May, increased their out-of-favour dollar bets further last week, the latest positioning data showed.
About 80% of analysts, 53 of 66, said the likely path for the dollar over the next six months was to trade around current levels, alternating between slight gains and losses in a range.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback's strength against six other major currencies, has slipped over 5% since touching a more than three-year high in March.
When asked which currencies would perform better against the dollar by end-December, a touch over half of 49 respondents said major developed market ones, with the remaining almost split between commodity-linked and emerging market currencies.

Dollar edges higher as Hong Kong tensions fuel safe-haven demand

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 64%. (I'm a bot)
TOKYO - The dollar edged higher on Monday as worries about a standoff between the United States and China over civil liberties in Hong Kong fuelled demand for safe-haven currencies.
A senior White House official has said Beijing's plan to impose a security law on the former British colony of Hong Kong could lead to U.S. sanctions, which could worsen an already tense relationship between the world's two-largest economies.
"Things were already bad, and it is likely to get worse because of the Hong Kong security law. This supports risk-off trades, which is positive for the dollar and the yen."
China's proposed national security legislation for Hong Kong could lead to U.S. sanctions and threaten the city's status as a financial hub, White House National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said on Sunday.
Hong Kong police fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse thousands of people who rallied on Sunday to protest Beijing's national security law.
The threat of sanctions over Hong Kong risks a repeat of last year's damaging trade war between the United States and China.

Building Passive Incomes [Case Studies]

Building Passive Incomes [Case Studies]
This is a test of different methods to make passive income. With different goals, starting requirements, time to build requirements and business models.

There are three questions to be addressed and answered;

Can a person build up meaningful passive incomes starting free, and spending less than an hour a day.
Can blogging and SEO replace a full time income in passive/recurring income in under two years?
Can speculation based passive income achieve compounded ROI over 250% in a year?

The three models I will use will be building an online services based business, and later outsource the delivery of service. Write long form blog posts to target niche questions in an area of which I am very knowledgeable, and investing in managed Forex accounts.

More in-depth details on each;

Services Business

With this, I will see if I can build a services company from $0 revenue with $0 out of pocket costs. Once I have met a target amount of net profit monthly, I will look into ways to outsource the service delivery at a cost less than my monthly income. When I'm making money with this, I'll re-invest it into improving things like websites, marketing funnels and product delivery efficiency.

I'll be selling an informational based product on subscription. I will have weekly and monthly subscription offers, and will do these at extremely low price points. $3 a week or $10 a month. It's the old "Stack 'em high and sell 'em low" tactic. I know there is a lot of scepticism (rightly so) around the niche I am working in. A lot of people do the same service with terribly low quality. The best way to succeed here, is to make it almost risk free to try it, and then leverage world of mouth - social proof is king in sceptical niches.

I set this up in 20 minutes. There's no need to spend a lot of time on it. I used wix.com for a free website. Their template feature built the website, and I edited the details. Really, 10 minute job. Then I used the Wix logo maker to get some logos. I set up a Facebook fan page, with that I set up a couple groups. One is a public group for marketing, the other is a paid members group. I used Canava to make my cover pictures for this. https://www.canva.com/create/facebook-covers. I also set up a Telegram channel for quick and direct communication with paid members.

I will spend about 20 - 30 minutes on this a day. I will do my content for the paid members, and then I will also water this down a bit and use it for marketing also. As time goes on, I will add different distribution channels for the marketing content. I will do this by creating one solid bit of content, and then little bits of it as feeder content. This recycling of content is referred to by Gary Vee as "Sawdust content", and it's a great way to leverage time. https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/content-content-content/

I am going to drive past this by making my main promotion method a week's free trial. The niche is quite technical, it has a learning curve to it. To save me a lot of hassle on FAQs and teaching the absolute basics, I am going to focus my posting efforts into areas where people speak my language. I'll promote in dedicated forums. The audience of this will be highly targeted, and convert easily for a free trial. They'll also cover easily to the low ball subscription. So long as the service does it's job, they'll stay on and tell others. If it doesn't do it's job, I do not deserve to be paid.

When it comes to outsourcing, I have a few options. I can take apprentices. Teach them the skills for free, and then later give them jobs. There's the option of directly hiring a competing service to basically white label for me. Finally I have the option of selling the entire business for a large pay off, although this is not technically passive income, I would get paid 2 years worth of time running the service up-front. I class that as a win.

SEO Blog

For my SEO blog, I am going to set up a "Go to" guide for people setting up services that are very similar to the services company mentioned above. I know, It's like typing 'Google' into Google ... there's no way to tell what will happen. I will actually be teaching them how to set up a service a step above the one I am doing for the services passive income. Anyone who does well with the services company I am doing will naturally switch to a more profitable and easier to run service.

I've already been down that road. I know the questions and challenges these people will face making this evolution in their business, and I can provide a lot of value to these business owners. I've done basic keyword research, and I think I can write better articles than currently exist, and can do more "SEO stuff" than those ranking now have done. I'll monetise this with affiliate offers (there are things essential to running the business, most of my traffic will need these things). I will also probably scale this out to offer things like article writing, lead generation, sales funnels and so on.

Of the above, almost everything can be outsourced if it is bespoke, or created quickly from templates that are customised to suit the business owner wanting to purchase it. So these are easily made passive incomes, and the affiliate deals pay me recurring without extra inputs from me. So all I need to do is get the blog to the top of Google on my searches, and then systematise the delivery of things I sell there.

Again I am not going to take a lot of time on making the website here. I'll use Wordpress, I'll use Elementor as a page builder. The general stuff on my site will be nothing flashy or fancy. Clean, professional and minimalist suits my niche well. 80% of my time on this will be spent on keyword research and article writing. I am not going to put huge efforts into backlinking and other SEO tactics. I'll make my on page SEO tight, and then I will write extremely high value articles. My play on this will be entirely based upon writing stuff people do not bounce from. I'll do my best to be the best, and then trust Google will work that out, somehow.

Start up costs on this are low, but there are some. It requires at least a domain name and hosting. Also autoreposnders and likewise tools will help. Net starting costs for this does not exceed $200. I will allocate on average 2 hours a day to this. This may be in small blocks of writing and keyword research each day, and sometimes marathon writing seasons. I will be using a basic SEO model of having some main pillar content (4,000 words or so) and a bunch of feeder blogs (1,500 - words or so).
If and when I do any sort of backlink building (and I will, if my raw writing is not ranking) , I'll adopt the sawdust strategy as explained by Gary Vee.

As an added bonus, I can run another little services business from this website that is related to my low cost services business. This then acts as a natural place to send people who are highly over qualified for my super cheap service. Alternatively, I can sell these people as leads to business owners looking to learn more about setting up these services and landing on my site. This makes me less, but is entirely passive.

Speculating and Compounding

For this, I've invested $10,000 into a managed Forex trading account that runs on a medium/high risk setting. This is entirely passive. The trading team and I sign a contract. Then everything just happens. I'm a person of relatively high risk tolerance, so I am willing to see my investment swing down 30 - 35% in the worst losing streaks. Based on historical results, this should enable me to average over 20% a month (using geometric averaging over 12 months). Meaning I compound over 250% annually.

I will run this investment for at least 3 years, which if target gains continue to hit, will compound to over 1,000% gain. Even though I am risk tolerant, I am not mental. So my continued investment is this is contingent upon the account manager maintaining common sense risk protection benchmarks. If anything "weird" happens, I'll pull all or most of my investment, and allocate to different account managers.

Results so far on managed account: +$1,047.11

I will post either weekly or bi-weekly (depending on other obligations) updates on how these ventures develop.

Dollar regains footing after Fed-driven stumble

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 56%. (I'm a bot)
LONDON - The dollar recouped some losses on Wednesday as traders looked to see which other major central banks might follow the U.S. Federal Reserve and make emergency cuts to their interest rates.
The euro has been one of the currencies to climb on the broad-based dollar weakness of recent weeks and it had slipped back to $1.1145 ahead of U.S. trading from Tuesday's two-month high at $1.12135.
"We are looking at how the central bank community is going to react now," said TD Securities' European Head of Currency strategy, Ned Rumpeltin.
"The dollar's weakness is reflected in the euro, because the Fed will likely ease more than the ECB," said Masafumi Yamamoto, chief currency strategist at Mizuho Securities in Tokyo.
"The resurgence of Joe Biden will help to dampen some of the downside risks for the U.S. dollar given fears over a sharper shift to the left under Bernie Sanders have eased," wrote MUFG currency analyst Lee Hardman.
In the Chinese onshore market, the yuan touched asix-week high of 6.9288 per dollar, another sign of the dollar's weak bias.

Unthinkable a few weeks ago, Wall Street sees a chance of rates falling as low as zero this year

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 55%. (I'm a bot)
Goldman Sachs economists said Sunday that they see the Fed cutting rates by 50 basis points by its March meeting or sooner, and probably 100 basis points this year, a forecast about in consensus with current market pricing.
Traders in the fed funds futures market are indicating about a 9% probability that the fed funds rate, which serves as benchmark for other very short-term rates, will fall to a range of zero to 25 basis points by December, according to the CME's FedWatch tracker.
"One of the recurring themes in optimal monetary policy near the zero lower bound is that when growth risks occur with policy rates within the neighborhood of zero, then the central bank should act early and aggressively," JPMorgan's chief U.S. economist, Michael Feroli, said in a note.
New York Fed President John Williams caused a stir in July 2019 when he noted the same research that pointed to cutting rates dramatically rather than incrementally when they are already low.
Former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh told CNBC on Friday that the Fed, BOJ, European Central Bank, Bank of England and others should act in concert with a cut on the order of 50 basis points.
The fed funds rate is trading in a range between 1.5% and 1.75%. That's higher than any U.S. Treasury bill, note or bond, the first time that's happened since 2008, according to FOREX.com.

How Hong Kong Protests are Portrayed By Different News Media Worldwide • Fake News vs. Real News •
This Russian government's state funded "news network" RT News is so comical to me, they would love to convince the whole world that the US has become a declining power, the US dollar is not the world's number one reserve currency, that the Chinese Yuan is and that all next generation high-tech in this planet is now being indigenously innovated in China.
https://i.redd.it/typ9ikw5wat31.jpg
It seems laughable to me watching RT news coverage of the Hong Kong demonstrations making real hard efforts to protrait the pro-democracy movement as being demonstrations of people "experiencing economic hardship" confusing democracy with "economic prosperity" whilst at the same time accusing the demonstrators of being manipulated and funded by Western intelligence services including the CIA.
I told myself "well which one is it? Are they confused demonstrators experiencing economic hardship or manipulated puppets of the West?" LOL!
At the end I just said to myself what an insult to the Hong Kong pro-democracy demonstrators. Portraying them of not being intelligent enough to organize themselves and accusing them of not knowing their own cause.
China's CGTN in the other hand while just as bad if not worse than RT, does a lot better job at spreading propaganda. Perhaps because they are much better funded. Doing it a lot more tactfully and assertively.
Their efforts being more concentrated at projecting China as a highly-developed Nation under the rule of law, and a "responsible world leader", minimizing if not censoring the impact the trade war with the US has had on their economy. With it's market widely open to foreign investment where IP protection takes the highest priority.
Covering the situation in Hong Kong more or less as a "city under siege of rioters and vandalism".
Even going as far as calling Xin Jiang China a "prosperous paradise for Uighur Muslims". And you can forget any mentioning of "re-education camps". Even devoting entire segments to "China's human rights developments".
It's extraordinarily unbelievable the claims networks like RT news and CGTN from China make and how far they're willing to go to misinform their domestic population and now International audiences through their multilingual news branches which most governments where they operate consider them "Kremlin and Beijing propaganda outlets" rather than legitimate and credible news networks.

If such claims were true, 90% of all foreign business transactions worldwide would not be conducted in US dollars.
And that is just one statistic. 61% of all world foreign currency reserves are in dollars. According to the international monetary fund.

But that isn't the important story. 90 - 95% of all the high-tech in China has been imported from abroad, rebranded and falsely claimed to have been innovated indigenously. In other words "invented in China". Through various means raging from forced tech transfers, intellectual property and Trade secrets theft by either cyber attacks on foreign competitor's databases, corporate spying and bribery.

As to whether American is a declining power or not depends on how a state's power is measured but most importantly how it's perceived, individually and collectively by other nations.
What you personally believe, What region of the world you're in, which language you speak and what sources of information you have access to is actually more important than any public survey taken or any official state statistic or international ranking.
But a most recent survey conducted by 2019 Best countries and multiple other organizations surveyed 20,000 individuals from 4 different regions around the world. And when asked to name the most powerful countries in the world taking into consideration military, political and economic influence the US came in first followed by Russia with China surprisingly in 3rd place.

To summarize, in this modern day in age of false news, state propaganda and politically biased misinformation campaigns the most important thing is to no longer depend on a single source of information but multiple sources of information.
During my research I've compiled a list of reliable international news sources with at least an "attempt to report the news with limited bias" and report verified news with some degree of neutrality.
My most reliable news and information sources list is:
1 DW News (Germany)
2 PBS (U.S.)
3 Al Jazeera (Qatar)
4 BBC News (UK)
5 France 24 (France)
6 Wikipedia (US) in 285 languages.
Additionally here is a list of most unreliable, bias and heavily censored state funded international news organizations fiercely criticized for attempting to further domestic political propaganda abroad:
1 RT News (Russia)
2 CGTN (China)
3 CCTV (China)
4 TRT News (Turkey)
5 HispanTV / IRIB (Iran)
Finally, the following is a list I felt also needed to be compiled as it merits mentioning. News organizations that despite being politically biased, do report real news and events although be it spined to fit their narrative. But also exclude important and relevant news topics and/or allocate limited coverage to further their in-house political agendas:
1 TRT News (Turkey)
2 CNN News (US Far-left)
3 Fox News (US Far-right)
4 MSNBC News (US Far-Left)
5 Sky News Australia (Far-right)

Dollar supported after upbeat U.S. data, pound steadies

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 51%. (I'm a bot)
TOKYO - The dollar held firm at start of holiday-thinned week on Monday after U.S. data pointed to solid economic growth while the British pound found some stability after having suffered its biggest weekly fall in three years.
A batch of economic data published on Friday showed the U.S. economy, already in its longest expansion in history, appears to have maintained the moderate pace of growth as the year ended, supported by a strong labour market.
Earlier this year, investors were spooked by fear of a U.S. recession when the U.S. yield curve inverted, which has been historically one of the most reliable signs of a U.S. recession.
Separate data showed consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, rose 0.4% last month as households stepped up purchases of motor vehicles and spent more on healthcare.
Against the yen, the dollar was traded at 109.47 yen JPY=, up 0.04% from late U.S. levels, not far from six-month high of 109.73 touched earlier this month.
The dollar tumbled as much as 4.4% on the second trading day of this year as a lack of yen liquidity due to Japanese market holiday amplified the dollayen's fall sparked by a rare revenue warning from Apple Inc. Currency speculators have cut their net short positions in the yen slightly in week that ended last Tuesday after having increased bets against the currency constantly for a few months, data from U.S. financial watchdog showed on Friday.

Dollar surrenders to euro and yen as rate supremacy evaporates

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 64%. (I'm a bot)
SYDNEY/TOKYO - The dollar nursed savage losses against the yen and euro on Friday as a plunge in U.S. yields to record lows wiped out the currency's single greatest attraction for investors - higher interest rates.
The resulting collapse in Treasury yields - which fell another 10 basis points in Asia - has been the death of one of the most popular carry trades globally - borrowing at negative rates in the euro and yen to buy U.S. assets.
"Select USD pairs like EUUSD are turning because of a dramatic and decisive shift in U.S. rate expectations and related spreads," said Alan Ruskin, global head of G10 FX strategy at Deutsche Bank.
There were lots of other miserable milestones, with the dollar sinking to a six-month low on the yen at 105.83, having shed 1.2% overnight.
The Australian dollar lost 0.3% to fetch $0.6585, off this week's high of $0.6646 as its rebound from 11-year lows of $0.64345 hit a week ago lost steam.
The Canadian dollar traded at C$1.3412 per U.S. dollar, near a nine-month low of C$1.3465 set last Friday.

Dollar left devastated by surprise Fed rate cut

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 60%. (I'm a bot)
TOKYO - The dollar fell to a five-month low versus the yen after an emergency 50 basis point cut in interest rates by the U.S. Federal Reserve was deemed insufficient to offset downside risks posed by the global spread of the coronavirus.
The euro was one of the currencies to benefit most from the broad-based dollar weakness as traders bet the Fed will cut rates more than the European Central Bank.
"This Fed rate cut is bad for dollayen, partly because Treasury yields are now very low. The dollar's weakness is reflected in the euro, because the Fed will likely ease more that the ECB.".
The Fed surprised investors by cutting rates by 50 basis points to a target range of 1.00% to 1.25% on Tuesday, two weeks ahead of a regularly scheduled policy meeting.
Interest rate futures traders pricing in a 51.4% probability of a further 25 basis point cut in April, according to the CME Group's FedWatch Tool.
The rate cut failed to arrest a sell-off in U.S. equities and sent benchmark 10-year Treasury yields crashing to a record low 0.906%, further reducing the appeal of the dollar.

FOREX-Dollar edges up ahead of potentially market-moving Trump trade speech

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 48%. (I'm a bot)
Nov 12 - The dollar was stronger against the yen and Swiss franc on Tuesday as traders grew optimistic ahead of a speech by U.S. President Donald Trump, during which he is expected to again postpone imposing tariffs on European Union autos.
Trump's speech to the Economic Club of New York is expected to be market-moving as he is scheduled to discuss U.S. trade policy.
Currency traders will also be listening for hints about the Trump administration's long-running trade war with China, and any progress towards the "Phase one" trade deal.
Versus a basket of currencies, the global dollar index rose 0.1%. The dollar strengthened against safe haven currencies: it was up 0.2% against both the Japanese yen and the Swiss franc in early London trading.
The New Zealand dollar was down 0.5% at 0.6335 versus the U.S. dollar, only slightly recovered from the low of $0.6323 it reached last week after a central bank survey showed the country's near-term inflation expectations dropped, increasing traders' expectations of a rate cut this week.
The dollar was boosted last week when comments from the Chinese trade ministry were interpreted as a sign of progress on rolling back China-U.S. tariffs, causing traders to dump safe-haven currencies like the yen.

In swaps we trust? Disappearing dollars drive currency trading dependence - Reuters

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 83%. (I'm a bot)
LONDON - As dollars dry up, global finance is growing increasingly dependent on opaque currency trading to keep cash flowing.
Swaps users had a scare in September, when the U.S. Federal Reserve had to pump cash into markets as rates in the $2.2 trillion U.S. "Repo" market spiked and spilled into FX swap markets, sending the premium to borrow dollars shooting higher.
Reflecting the increased reliance on currency markets to borrow dollars, FX swap volumes have grown to represent 49% of total currency trading, from 42% in 2013, Bank for International Settlements figures from August show.
OFF-BALANCE SHEET. Unlike regular 'spot' currency transactions, swaps involve two parties swapping one currency for another.
Many central bankers say bank borrowing and funding via swaps, which are typically used for hedging, day-to-day liquidity management or even speculation, is driving the increase in FX swaps as they are "Off-balance sheet".
The central bank official said stress tests implied some banks use swaps for more than 10% of their funding, while the BIS says dollars are on one side of 90% of all currency trades.

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 52%. (I'm a bot)
LONDON - A London-based former Citigroup trader is suing the U.S. bank for more than $112 million, alleging it made materially false and malicious statements to U.S. prosecutors that led to his trial in New York on foreign exchange-rigging charges.
Rohan Ramchandani, the former European head of Citigroup's forex spot market trading desk, alleges in a lawsuit filed on Wednesday that Citigroup made false and "Gravely derogatory" assertions against him to government investigators and the media after firing him in 2014 without cause.
A spokeswoman for Citigroup in London said the bank rejected the allegations and would fight the case.
"Mr. Ramchandani's claims of malicious prosecution are without merit and we will contest them vigorously," she said.
He also alleges his manager at Citigroup, an experienced forex spot market trader tasked with reviewing and evaluating Ramchandani's communications, had volunteered that Ramchandani had not engaged in "Collusion or price fixing" and there was "Nothing criminal" in his intent or actions.
Citigroup only pleaded guilty in May 2015 to conspiring to manipulate currencies in order to pin the blame on Ramchandani and to limit the regulatory consequences for their senior managers and officers, the former trader alleged.

A Comprehensive List Of Fake News and Real News Agencies • RT • CGTN • FOX • CNN •

This Russian government's state funded "news network" RT News is so comical to me, they would love to convince the whole world that the US has become a declining power, the US dollar is not the world's number one reserve currency, that the Chinese Yuan is and that all next generation high-tech in this planet is now being indigenously innovated in China.
https://i.redd.it/1fywkb9vnat31.png
It seems laughable to me watching RT news coverage of the Hong Kong demonstrations making real hard efforts to protrait the pro-democracy movement as being demonstrations of people "experiencing economic hardship" confusing democracy with "economic prosperity" whilst at the same time accusing the demonstrators of being manipulated and funded by Western intelligent services including the CIA.
I told myself "well which one is it? Are they confused demonstrators experiencing economic hardship or manipulated puppets of the West?" LOL!
At the end I told myself what an insult to the Hong Kong pro-democracy demonstrators.
With it's market wisely open to foreign investment where IP property protection takes highest priority.
It's extraordinarily unbelievable the claims networks like RT news and CGTN from China make and how far they're willing to go to misinform their domestic population and now International audiences through their multilingual news branches wich most governments where they operate consider them "Kremlin and Beijing propaganda outlets" rather than legitimate and credible news networks.

If such claims were true, 90% of all foreign business transactions worldwide would not be conducted in US dollars.
And that is just one statistic. 61% of all world foreign currency reserves are in dollars. According to the international monetary fund.
Eclipsing the next 4 other currencies put together with the Euro at 20%, the Japanese Yen at over 5% the British pound at just under 5% with the Chinese Yuan last under 2%.
The Chinese Yuan has not replaced the USD and won't be replacing it anytime soon:

China has made great progress modernizing itself and deserves credit for it. With new high-tech hub cities like Shenzhen attempting to rival Silicon Valley.
Keyword "attempting to". In addition to Shenzhen, Tel Aviv Israel, Tallinn Estonia, Melbourne Australia and Toronto Canada are also considered cities rivaling Silicon Valley:
https://www.theneweconomy.com/technology/top-5-tech-hubs-to-rival-silicon-valley

The list of companies whose intellectual property and trade secrets were stolen is so vast it couldn't be compiled in this article alone. But here are some important ones:
AMSC - Wind Turbine technology
Westinghouse - Nuclear technology
Solar World - Solar panel technology
Kawasaki Heavy Industries - High-Speed rail technology
US Steel - Steel Technology
Alcoa - Aluminium Technology
Micron - Semiconductor Technology
T-Mobile, Motorola, Cisco Systems and Nortel Networks - Wireless and Telecommunications Technology

It's for these masterful intelligence operations expanding 2-3 decades, that I give China most credit for.
And when asked to name the most powerful countries in the world taking into consideration military, political and economic influence the US came in first followed by Russia with China surprisingly in 3rd place.
http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/most-powerful-countries/
5 Sky News Australia (Far-right)
For more information I recommend visiting the following websites:

UPDATE OCT 19, 2019
Here is an extraordinary piece from DW news debunking Hong Kong fake social media posts: https://youtu.be/9AB32zU_EW8
This is one of the reasons why I chose to place DW news at the top of my list. After watching this piece, Notice how besides exposing the chinese communist government's misinformation campaign it also exposes Twitter and Facebook as co-conspirators facilitating the spread of fake news propaganda in it's platforms. "Accepting money from the CCP".
Reporting news with a high degree of objectivity, covering this report from multiple sides, not just telling one side of the story.
